Cats are carnivores so it is only natural they love raw meat. Cats belong to the same family that big cats such as lions and leopards belong to. We know they are big meat eaters, and our domestic cats are no different (albeit with a slightly smaller diet and less killer instinct!).

When putting your cat on a raw food diet for the first time, you should monitor his health particularly for the first month or so.
If his fur is shiny and sleep, he has a lot of energy and his eyes are bright then you can be sure his diet is good.

Raw car food is known to decrease the chance of disease in cats, as well as decreasing the likelihood of other health issues such as diabetes, urinary tract disorders, renal failure, digestive problems and obesity.

The objective and idea behind a raw cat food diet is that cats kill and eat their prey in the wild, therefore it is of great benefit to feed them raw meat in a domestic environment where they are unable to kill their own prey.

Some benefits of raw cat food include:
- Helps strengthen the immune system
- Improved nutritional value
- NO preservatives and additives as found in commercial cat food
- A more natural diet

Ideally you should try to give your cat raw meat several times per week. You can mix this with the usual dry food but do try to include raw meat to give your cat a more balanced and natural diet.
